Meet the Pastor
W. Floyd Bresee has devoted his life to the Seventh-day Adventist church. He is a well known pastor, guest speaker, teacher, writer and evangelist. It has been said that he brings to each of these roles wisdom, and an abililty to bring people of diversity together.
He has served in many pastoral and evangelistic appointments, and as the General Conference Ministerial head, representing the Seventh-day Adventist Church in 61 countries. Bresee is also devoted to education. He served for many years in the Seventh-day Adventist schools as a boy's dean, Bible teacher and pastor, and professor of religion.
Bresee graduated from Walla Walla College in 1949 with a degree in theology. He received a master's degree in speech from the State University of California in 1963 and a doctoral degree in speech education for Northwestern University and Garrett Seminary in 1971.
Bresee has published many article and book including: Happy Homes, Minister's Manual, Elder's Handbook, Pastoral Ministry and Lay Preaching.
Although he officially retired in 1994, he continues to serve in the Oregon Conference of Seventh-day Adventists where he has accepted the position of Interim Pastor here at Valley View. Meet our Youth Pastor
